The Outvertising Role Model Training is an interactive session designed to help you become a better role model AND to empower you to teach others to do the same. While we are coming at it from an LGBTQ+ angle, the session applies to all.

The session has been developed from our own, everyday experiences, as well as learnings taken from the training we have had access to. We’re always keen to hear from people on the day and make sure everyone feels comfortable to be open and honest in sharing their thoughts and experiences.

Aims:

• To equip you with the knowledge, confidence & skills to be role models

• To empower you to stay true to your values and be brave!

• To promote LGBTQ+ equality

• To build ally support and awareness

• To create a safe space for all to be comfortable as their authentic selves

The advertising industry influences and shapes culture in society. Since the Stonewall riots 51 years ago, our world has gone through lots of different political and socio-cultural changes that have impacted our modern society. The LGBTQ+ community event though has gained some space in the advertising industry still suffers for the lack of representation or misrepresentation of the community and those behind the creation of the ads we see in our screens. 

This talk is a fantastic trip back to the past and the present to get a better understanding of the evolution of our industry from an LGBTQ+ perspective and the challenges we have to overcome together to drive a better representation of the LGBTQ+ community.

Outvertising’s #PrideInside Social

March onto Zoom with us as we reach the middle of Pride Month - we cannot all be together on Regent Street this year but we can still take to the screens together. Come dressed up in as many rainbows as you can find, or in your smartest business outfit, just come as you are.
