Outvertising Live Sponsorship
Our mission at Outvertising is to encourage platforms, advertisers and agencies to be ‘good corporate citizens' through inclusion, representation and policy.
Our work, including the hundreds of hours that go into organising this event, is delivered by a group of volunteers who work with organisations large and small to achieve our mission to make the marketing and advertising industry completely LGBTQIA+ inclusive. This requires better, and more authentic representation of our community within businesses and their output.
There are far too few events delivered by the LGBTQIA+ community for the community, and even fewer sponsorship opportunities. We must acknowledge that there is a nervousness from organisations to align publicly with and advocate for our community due to the rise in anti-trans sentiment in particular.
We are also aware that too few events pay their LGBTQIA+ guests. However, we know that exposure does not pay the bills, and members of our community with intersectional identities are significantly less likely to be able to attend or join as a speaker or panelist. We want queer voices to be valued, and that starts with paying them.
We are grateful for the support we have received in sponsorship for Outvertising Live over the last few years, from a range of businesses and with differing investment levels.
We acknowledge that the industry we are trying to engage with and change is not perfect, and some of our sponsors may draw criticism. Believe us, they draw criticism from us too.
We encourage open debate, and stand by our choices as we work with key industry players to create a better advertising ecosystem for LGBTQIA+ people. We look forward to gathering the industry together to do just that.
