Outvertising welcomes DOOH.com’s Neil McKenney

This February we welcomed Neil McKenney as Co-Director of Communications. Neil joins Louis Persent in this role - ready to supercharge communications and share Outvertising’s message far and wide.

As Chief Commercial Officer at DOOH.com, Neil has helped shape a leading production agency in Digital Out of Home, working across hundreds of campaigns - some international award winners.

Neil is a diversity advocate and was Creative Director on the multi-award winning Pride in London #FreedomTo campaign. He is passionate about ensuring and building an LGBTQ+ inclusive advertising and marketing industry.

Check out what Neil had to say about his appointment to Outverisitng:

I believe that Outvertising has a key role to play in ensuring LGBTQ+ is represented in all types of advertising - the industry has come a long way in terms of representation but there is still a lot more we can do. The campaign for Pride was how I entered advertising and I have been missing working on similar causes - this is why I am hugely excited to join Outvertising in this role and spread the word. I’m really looking forward to what’s to come this year.

Introducing our new employer guidance

Outvertising’s purpose is to make UK advertising and marketing completely LGBTQ+ inclusive. One way we can achieve this is by encouraging advertising and marketing organisations to be completely LGBTQ+ inclusive in the workplace.

To help every organisation work toward this goal we’re announcing a set of twenty actions designed to ensure LGBTQ+ inclusion by helping everyone feel comfortable, accepted and supported in their workplace.

Drawn up in collaboration with HR experts, industry leaders as well as the Outvertising team, these actions cover areas including gender-inclusive language, diversity monitoring, training, allyship and contract recommendations.
